notacoliving (noco) is a dynamic space to explore, experience, and experiment around modern community living.
Just like us nomads, noco moves and evolves. For the third edition of noco we return to Spain, but this time into the green north. We are extending the full stay to two months, so that we are allowed to move one step closer to experiencing this lifestyle long(er)-term.
This time we will stay in a charming Casa Rural surrounded by nature, stationed at equal distance to the biggest towns of Asturias, the Atlantic Ocean and the breathtaking national park of the Picos de Europa.

Between the mountains and the sea, between movement and stability, we will deepen and explore our relationship to commitment and community. While the exciting surroundings may inspire us to explore and extend ourselves into the environment, the grounded calm of rural Spain will provide us with the stillness we need to connect with ourselves, with each other as well as with our needs and desires.
Our first noco was beautiful, enriching, and inspiring — perfect to start the year. The second time around, we retreated into the mountains, to be held by the support and enchanted by the magic of sharing a part of our lives together. This time we feel the call to gently elevate noco into a new phase.
We invite you to join us for an intentional community experience, in a natural and human environment that inspires depth, openness and courage.

We prefer to share the space with you for the full eight weeks. But we understand that life can be busy and messy. Since we prioritise the intimacy of the experience, minimum stay is four weeks.

What to expect
While Kathrin and Wojtek may sometimes take care of the logistics, we are all responsible for the experience and we organise, manage and facilitate the space together. The preparation for this third noco edition for example has been a shared effort as well.
We build on our experience and best practices we gathered throughout the years and learned from our friends and mentors, yet we happily invite you to bring your ideas, practices and talents.

Living, working and eating under the same roof is part of the classic co-living setup. With noco we want to do a bit more to create meaningful moments where we can actively explore community living and grow as a group. That’s why we encourage someone from the group to host sharing moments or skill shares around community topics once a week, for example:

… this is just a sample schedule and a starting point, once we get together we will adapt to the needs of the group and decide on our shared experiences.
Logistics, Pricing & getting there
Everybody pays the same
Every person/couple gets their own room
1.800 to 2.200 EUR for 8 weeks stay (depending on occupancy)
900 to 1.100 EUR for 4 weeks stay (depending on occupancy)
Our financial model is transparent. We don’t make profit, and we pay the same as you and everybody else.
500 EUR to reserve your spot, the rest must be paid by 12. April.
You can reach the house by bus, car or BlaBlaCar. The closest airport (Asturias Airport) is one hour away.
We are happy to organise and align our travel plans in advance to save travel costs and make the arrival as comfortable and uncomplicated as possible for all of us.
We are happy to organise a car, pick you up if needed or rent a community car (not included in the price).
Once the group is formed, we will organise a kick-off call to make sure that everybody meets beforehand and that everything is communicated clearly and transparently.
How can I join?

- Once we have received your application, we will confirm your place and send you payment details. We ask for a 500 Euro payment to reserve your spot.
… and then we will be super duper mega happy to welcome you to the third noco experience in Asturias! - * For those we have not met yet: We will organise a video call with you to get to know each other and make sure we feel happy and aligned.
- ** In April we will have a short online call with all participants to set the scene, get a feel for the group and answer any questions before we arrive.
Cancellation
Life happens, plans change and we may not always have a say in it. If you need to cancel, this is how we would like to handle things:
If you find someone who can and will take your place, you will receive a refund (depending on the length of their stay).
Cancellation up to 30 days before the start: 80% of your payment back.
Later cancellation: Unfortunately, no refunds are available.
We want to make this as easy as possible for you and we hope you understand that organising this experience has taken a lot of time and work in advance, so we don’t feel comfortable offering full refunds regardless of context and timeframe.

Content Creator and Creative Strategist by day, Meditation Guide and Philosopher by night – Wojtek has long been skeptical and critical of the hyper-individualistic lifestyle that we keep moving towards for a long time. In his view, exploring and building community carries less of a notion of going back to the roots, but of moving into a worthwhile future, finding new ways of living and improving our collective wellbeing.
Always ready for deep talks, sharing circles, heated debates or contemplation in complete silence, Wojtek brings a sense of calm, openness and enthusiasm to every conversation.
KATHRIN
Let’s do this! – When you first meet her, you might think she’s quiet, but don’t be fooled. When it comes to making a change and creating a meaningful life, Kathrin brings enough energy for all of us. She is passionate about human connection and sees community as a vital part of our future.
As a trainer and educator in peacebuilding, sustainability, travel and global learning, she has all the skills and knowledge you could wish for when it comes to building community. And if things ever go sideways, she will be there as a Harvard-trained mediator to hold the space and give time, power and attention to the voices that need to be heard.

WHAT IS NOCO?
notacoliving (noco) is a movement and experimental space exploring modern community living and reimagining the idea of home for nomads.
In recent years, many approaches to community living have emerged and gained popularity. But none of those fully felt right for us.
As much as every individual needs community, every community needs its individual approach. Which is where you come in. We don’t want you to join our community, we want you to shape this community with us.
noco is not a coliving, it’s not an intentional community and it’s not an ecovillage.
noco is itself the process of becoming and creating a future community.
